In honor of NERTCL’s 100th Anniversary, awardwinners Jerry and Gloria Jean Pinkney describe their
distinguished careers illustrating and writing children’s
books, and discuss children and the stories we provide
for them. Jerry has won numerous awards including
the Caldecott Honor Award and the Coretta Scott King
Award, five times each. Gloria Jean has written several
of the books illustrated by Jerry. A brief NERTCL
business meeting is included in the program.
Books will be available for purchase and autographs.
