By playful improvisation, demonstration and
discussion, Heather Forest of Story Arts, Huntington,
NY, instructs in the use of voice, body, imagination
and metaphor as tools of storytelling. Explore simple
techniques to memorize folktales and improvise
personalized retellings, and learn how to develop
spontaneous descriptive speech. Program sponsors are
the Jordan Miller Committee of the Massachusetts
Library Association, NELA’s New England Round
Table of Children’s Librarians (NERTCL) and August
House Publishers .
