“Podcast” was the New Oxford American Dictionary
2005 word of the year. Now libraries are starting to
think creatively about how they can use these audio
broadcasts to reach out to their users. Scott Kehoe
from the Northeast Massachusetts Regional Library
System and Beth Gallaway from the MetroWest
(MA) Regional Library System tell us what podcasting
is, why people are listening to podcasts, and how your
