NELA President Janice Wilbur has selected Vermontwriter Archer Mayor’s book St. Albans Fire for our
“One-Book” program. This title is the sixteenth in the
mystery series featuring Brattleboro, VT, detective Joe
Gunther. Mayor’s books are enhanced by his real-life
experience as an assistant medical examiner and a part
time patrol officer. In 2004 he became the first crime
writer to receive the New England Booksellers
Association award for best fiction. Read the book and
come enjoy the discussion with the author and other
readers. The Second Mouse, continuing Joe Gunther’s
story, will be published October 15, just in time for
conference sales.
