AACR2, the current cataloging code for libraries, is
being replaced by Resource Description and Access
(RDA). Matthew Beacom, Metadata Librarian at
Yale University in New Haven, CT, reviews the
rationale for the change, explains the work of the
editorial team, summarizes RDA and discusses the
current status of the new code. The program is
sponsored by the New England Technical Services
Librarians section (NETSL) and their business
meeting is included.
