NELA's Listserv

NELA's listserv is an email discussion group which serves as a forum for the distinctive needs of the NELA community. The list can be used to share ideas, to seek advice, post agendas and locate collaborators for projects.

To Subscribe

  1. All current NELA members who have provided us their email address and indicated they want to be included in the listserv membership are automatically subscribed.
    • You must provide your email address on your registration form.
    • You can also provide your email address by emailing NELA's executive manager at executivemanager+NELAsecure+nelib.org or by calling 603-654-3533.
  2. If you are not a NELA member, but feel you have a legitimate need to participate in the list, please email NELA's publications manager at publicationsmanager+NELAsecure+nelib.org. Please provide a description of your legitimate need. The NELA Publications Committee reserves the right to accept or reject non-NELA members.

Sending a Message to the List

  • Only currently-subscribed members can post to the list. Others' posts will be rejected.
  • Send your message to nela-l@nelib.org.
    • Please be patient. All posts must be moderated.
  • If you are a nonmember wanting to post to this list, please email publicationsmanager+NELAsecure+nelib.org, requesting instructions and outlining your intended message.

To Unsubscribe from the List

  • If you no longer wish to receive NELA listserv messages, please send a request to NELA's publications manager at publicationsmanager+NELAsecure+nelib.org.
  • When unsubscribed, you will receive a confirmation message.

Listserv Guidelines

  • The New England Library Association mailing list was established to provide a communications forum for members of NELA. NELA members are invited to subscribe in order to raise issues of common concern, learn about breaking NELA news, and receive information important to NELA participation. NELA members are encouraged to exchange ideas, post questions or vacancies, announce surplus items for sale, or to use the mailing lists for other library-related purposes deemed of interest to all or to a number of specific NELA members.
  • Messages dealing with issues specific to one library or state should be cross-posted to the NELA list only if they are of regional interest. Commercial announcements and advertisements are not permitted, except those of a professional development or continuing education nature. In an effort to ensure that the NELA list meets subscribers’ expectations, NELA reserves the right to make judgments and to refuse messages that do not meet the guidelines of the NELA list.
