- New England Library Association
- Council on Library/Media Technicians: An international organization which works to address the issues and concerns of library and media support staff personnel.
- Support Staff Interest Round Table, American Library Association: The purpose of the SSIRT is: 1) To provide an arena within ALA for addressing a wide variety of issues of concern to library support staff, including but not limited to basic training programs, education, career development, job duties and responsibilities; 2) To foster communication and networking among all people working in libraries; and 3) To be responsible for the timely dissemination of information to local, regional, state, and national support staff organizations.

- LIBSUP-L is a list for the discussion of all library-related topics as they pertain to library support staff. Topics have included the changing roles of paraprofessionals, library working conditions, training opportunities, conference announcements and reports, and a wide variety of public and technical services issues.

- SERIALST (Serials in Libraries Discussion Forum) serves as an informal electronic forum for most aspects of serials processing in libraries. Appropriate topics include (but are not limited to): cataloging, acquisitions, collection management, serials budgets and pricing concerns, binding, preservation, microfilm and other non print serials media, union list activities, announcements, news, and job postings that are of interest to the serials community. SERIALST is a moderated list.
