The New England Library Association is a membership organization for library staff and supporters in the six New England States: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. It was incorporated in 1963 to provide a forum for library workers to come together, exchange ideas, and share concerns, and offer many educational opportunites for library staff.
NELA now has a new management system and this new website. It is designed to make it easier for you to communicate with NELA and its members, to join the organization or renew your membership, and to register for NELA events.
If you are not currently a member we invite you to join now. You may pay by check mailed with the downloadable (pdf)* form to the NELA office. Or use the online Member Application and pay by credit card for immediate acceptance. The application includes check boxes you may use to join a section or volunteer to serve on a committee. The more active you become the more you benefit from the NELA network.
