Staples Business Advantage Program

The NELA/Staples Business Advantage Program, which was launched in August, 2005, is a member benefit which NELA provides to help members leverage their group purchasing power. A few questions have arisen, however, and we hope that we can provide some clarification.

Will Staples use our information for purposes other than the Business Advantage Program?

No. NELA supplied Staples with addresses, not phone numbers or e-mails. Staples will not send your information to any other vendors. In addition, Staples will not send you solicitations unrelated to the program.

I work at a tax exempt institution. How do I alert Staples of my status?

How does NELA benefit?

NELA benefits in two ways. First, NELA members can take advantage of huge discounts offered through the program. Second, NELA, as an organization, has an opportunity to benefit through rebates. If participating NELA members spend $75,000-$150,000 per year, NELA would receive an annual rebate of 1%. Spending $150,000-$300,000 would have an annual rebate of 2%. The rebates would be used to fund NELA activities.
