For our kickoff session in April, we’re thrilled to welcome Dori Vecchio, Interim Town Manager for the Town of Auburn, who will share practical strategies to help women in library science level up their careers—from mastering job interviews to negotiating salaries and identifying transferable skills. Drawing from her own experience advancing in public service, Dori offers real-world advice, encouragement, and workplace best practices to help you rise and thrive.

This is more than just a talk—it’s a supportive space where librarians can connect, share, and ask questions. Bring your lunch, bring your voice, and let’s build each other up!

Dori A. Vecchio, M.P.A., MCPPO is the Interim Town Manager with the Town of Auburn. Ms. Vecchio received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Clark University and her Bachelors degree from Worcester State University. Prior to this role, she worked as the Assistant Town Manager/Human Resources Director in Auburn. She was the Town Administrator for the Town of Blackstone and she worked 23 years in the City of Worcester where she served in multiple roles, most recently as the Director of Human Resources. She also served the city as a Finance Manager/Grants Supervisor and the Director of Administration for the City Manager. Ms. Vecchio has two adult children and resides in the City of Worcester with her spouse and two dogs.
